
President William Ruto has sent a message of condolence to Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir following the death of his father, Edwin Koech.
In a statement, the President expressed sympathy to Chirchir and his family during the period of mourning, describing the loss as a difficult moment.
“Our sincere condolences to my friend, Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, and the entire family on the passing of your father, Edwin Koech,” Ruto said.
He paid tribute to the late Koech, noting his contribution to society and the impact he had on those around him.
“We honour Mzee Koech for a life well lived in service to his community. He touched many lives through his kindness, generosity, and steady guidance,” the President added.
Ruto further assured the family of support during the grieving period, saying, “We stand with you in this time of grief and pray for strength and comfort for the family. May he rest in peace.”
