Police are investigating an incident in Ruiru, Kiambu County, where a 53-year-old man was found dead after his jacket became entangled on a wall around his home.

Authorities say the man, George Mukuria, appears to have attempted to scale the fence when the jacket he was wearing became entangled, resulting in his death.

Mukuria was discovered hanging on a fence on Monday night. Reports indicate he arrived home to find his gate locked and the guard unresponsive to calls and knocks.

He then reportedly tried to climb a section of the compound wall in the Karuguru area. The guard found his body shortly after.

Police noted that Mukuria’s jacket had caught on the grills surrounding the property and contributed to the fatal incident. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

No visible injuries were observed, and the body was taken to the mortuary for further procedures.
