Oilers face CUEA Monks, Machakos RFC and KMTC Nakuru in the pool stage, with Weru warning against complacency.
“Tens rugby is unpredictable. We must be on our guard from the first whistle and treat every team seriously,” he added.
Runners-up Kabras will also rotate their squad as they target a stronger finish. Head coach Carlos Katywa said the tournament offers a platform to test combinations and build momentum.
“We have a big squad and want to go all out to win while preparing for the Enterprise Cup and Kenya Cup. This is a good opportunity to give players experience and we are relishing the challenge,” said Katywa.
Kabras are pooled with Mean Machine RFC, Tum Marines and Eagles Rugby.
Elsewhere, Pool C features KU Blak Blad, KCA University, Rift Valley Polytechnic and Egerton University, while Pool D includes Strathmore Leos, KMTC Kisumu, Co-operative University and Nakuru RFC II.
Hosts Nakuru RFC headline Pool E alongside Stallion RFC, Multimedia University and Ravin Rugby, and will be aiming for a strong run on home soil.
The top two teams in each pool will advance to the quarter-finals, with the rest dropping into lower-tier classifications.
