Kisiwa TTI in action during a previous match/ HANDOUT

BUNGOMA-based Kisiwa Technical Training Institute head coach George Wamalwa insists his squads are ready, fully equipped and free of major injuries ahead of the Kenya Handball League match at Nyayo Stadium this weekend.

Kisiwa men's team are currently seventh on the log, having played nine matches with five wins, a draw and three losses. They trail league leaders NCPB, who top the table with 19 points from 10 matches, while Strathmore are ninth with six wins and three losses. Ulinzi Shooters occupy fourth place with GSU in fifth.

" In the men's category, we aim to collect crucial points to improve their league standing and establish a platform for a strong second half of the season," the coach said.

Kisiwa women's team are fifth with eight games played, four wins and four losses. They are seeking to close the gap on the league leaders and cement their hold on mid-table as they take on Desert Scorpions. Kisiwa have shown flashes of brilliance this season but remain within reach of both Ulinzi.
The coach said, " Most of the women players completed college, and this is why I am relying on a combination of experienced campaigners and emerging talent to maintain attacking rhythm and defensive discipline."

NCPB are top of the table with 13 points after winning six of their eight games so far. Ulinzi Sharks (13), Nairobi Water (12) and Daystar  (eight) follow in that order.
