The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) has opened applications for its annual Young Professionals programme.

The full-time, in-person fully-sponsored programme is aimed at training the next generation of policy researchers and analysts.

The programme offers participants an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public policy research while expanding their knowledge, leadership skills and professional networks.

Successful applicants will engage in coursework and the publication of research outputs, covering topics such as the public policy-making process, legislative processes, applied research methods, governance under Kenya’s devolved system, monitoring and evaluation, macroeconomic modelling and forecasting, systems of national accounts and social accounting matrices.

By the end of the programme, participants are expected to publish research findings, contributing to Kenya’s policy development landscape.

The programme has been running since 2003, overseeing 20-40 graduands annually.

The initiative is part of KIPPRA’s mandate to develop sustainable national development through supply of adequate human capital that support medium and long-term strategic planning.

Vision 2030 targets 10 per cent annual economic growth via three key pillars: economic, social and political.

KIPPRA is inviting applications from suitably qualified young professionals, with a total of 30 positions available for the 2026-27 cycle under KIPPRA-sponsored admissions.

The institute emphasises its commitment to equal opportunity employment and has especially encouraged persons with disabilities to apply.
