A quiet walk in Nairobi recently turned Brian Okello into a national hero. He is now famously dubbed the "Kenyan Superman."
This follows a viral video showing him rushing to help a woman in a heated dispute with motorbike riders.

Impact on Business
In an exclusive interview with Mpasho’s Moses Sagwe, Brian shared how fame has changed his life. He runs a business selling clothes, sports jerseys, and headphones. He operates online and has a physical shop located at Mirema Drive in Kasarani.
"Since I began trending, I have received several clients who want to support me... I can say it’s like a windfall on me. Ni mambo ya Mungu," Brian Okello revealed.
Brian noted that while some people online mocked him, the impact has been overwhelmingly positive. His current goal is to use this momentum to expand his business further.
A Message of Gratitude
The story has a positive ending for those involved. Brian revealed that the lady he rescued has reached out.
Her boyfriend also contacted him directly to thank him for his bravery during the altercation.

Social media users continue to laud his actions. Some have even suggested he should receive official presidential recognition or be appointed as a gender commission ambassador.
“The lady I was rushing to rescue, her boyfriend contacted me and thanked me,” he revealed.
The Roadside Altercation
The incident happened while Brian was going about his daily business. He noticed a commotion by the roadside and went to investigate. He found a boda boda rider harassing a young woman.
The woman was a passenger who could not immediately pay her fare. According to him, her phone battery had died. She asked the rider to accompany her to her apartment to charge the device and settle the payment. The rider refused and the situation turned physical. Brian acted swiftly to pull the rider away from her.

"She could be my sister, your sister, or someone who might help someone else in the future. That’s why I stepped in. A man who beats a woman should not be allowed to live among the rest,” Okello said.
The Cost of Bravery
His intervention came at a personal cost. Other riders at the scene ganged up on him. They slapped Brian and chased him away. Despite the danger, Brian said he helped because it was the humane thing to do.
The moment was captured on film and shared on TikTok. Brian admitted he had no idea he was being recorded or that he would soon be trending across the country.
