Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday presided over the graduation ceremony of 1,880 graduands of short courses sponsored by Kikuyu constituency’s NG-CDF.

With him was Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung’wah, who is also the MP for Kikuyu.

Kikuyu Constituency NG-CDF is a fully funded a three-month vocational short courses for the youth and residents, aimed at equipping them with practical job market skills.

Courses include plumbing, electrical installation, cosmetology, barista, caregiving, painting and masonry, conducted in partnership with local vocational institutions like Nachu, Kinoo, Kerwa, Thogoto and Karai polytechnics.

The programme focuses on hands-on vocational skills to enhance employability.

Targeted were Kikuyu constituents who are residents or young people with parents registered as voters within the constituency.
