Well, Corridors of Power is apprised that the lot has vowed that the individual will not take the reins. The scheme is to cast the fellow as an outsider with no legitimate right to claim the now vacant throne. It is alleged that some of the individuals who are related to the targeted politician fear that any gains by their adversary will likely freshen old political wounds.

An ex-lawmaker is reportedly giving his successor sleepless nights in what is seen as an early sign of his return to reclaim the seat. The man has been crisscrossing the constituency, attending social gatherings and touring projects of his tenure, reminding the locals of the hard work he did. The incumbent, on the other hand, is said to be struggling with little to show for his time in office. Insiders in his camp supposedly say the man has been restless lately and is leaning on powerful figures with the hope of bagging a legacy project.

A politico’s hands are reportedly tied in dealing with an errant member of his team. The man is said to be allegedly helpless in responding to the events that are threatening to split his outfit. Corridors is told that the man allegedly has no say in the ownership of the outfit and could just be a proxy, hence his backpedalling. The outfit is said to be owned by a vocal politico and a billionaire. The former is said to have been irked by the introduction of a new position in the outfit without his knowledge.

Some aspirants gunning for various seats in the upcoming election through a popular political vehicle are angry at the conditions allegedly set by their leader. We are told that those gunning for MP seats have been allegedly directed to bankroll operations at the outfit’s offices. Those gunning for county seats have been tasked with furnishing and running the county offices. The burden is said to be pushing many away from the lucrative outfit. Observers were overheard saying how the conditions could work in favour of rival outfits.
