In an exclusive interview with Veronica Odeyo, the fast-rising TikTok content creator and upcoming artist has shared how a simple challenge became the turning point in her journey.
Veronica revealed that she opened her TikTok account, Veroh Mc’Odeyo, in October last year after participating in the “Ruoth Okwero” cover challenge.
The performance, done as a trio alongside Terry and Caren, quickly gained traction and trended on Prince Johannes’ TikTok platform.
“That challenge was a trio of me, Terry and Caren and from there we founded Angelic Voices,” she explained.

The momentum from the viral moment pushed her to officially launch her own channel, marking the beginning of her personal brand in digital content and music.
Formation of Angelic Voices
Following their viral success, the trio established Angelic Voices, a group that has since grown into a promising musical act.
Within a short period, the group has already recorded three songs.

One of the tracks, Maria Mama Parie Jotelo, was released in December last year, while the remaining two are yet to be scheduled for release.
Veronica noted that working as a team played a key role in strengthening her passion for music.
“The first I did together with my team Angelic Voices as the soloist, that made me more interested in the world of music,” she said.
Discovering Her Musical Ability
The Migori County native, currently a second-year student at Kenyatta University, shared that her realization of musical potential came unexpectedly.
“The first time I realised I can compose and produce songs is when I came to a position of twisting somebody’s song and did a challenge with it. It trended and from that point and recommendations from people made me see the potential in me,” she stated.
This experience not only boosted her confidence but also encouraged her to start creating original music.
Balancing Growth and Challenges As her online presence continues to grow, Veronica acknowledged the challenges that come with visibility, particularly from critics and competitors.

“My first song will be produced this week actually sponsored by Deacon Siko,” she revealed.
In addition, she disclosed that another supporter recently reached out to back her personal music ambitions.
“The other week I got a call from someone who wanted to support me personally. Being that I had my own composed songs, he promised to sponsor me and the solo song nitatoa next week,” she added.
Her goal is to create and release her own music while still contributing to the group.
Message to Fans
Veronica took time to appreciate her growing fanbase, crediting them for her progress on social media.
“First of all, appreciating for supporting me hadi nikafika 30k followers and for sharing my videos making a very positive impact,” she said.
“Secondly, I love them and without them am nothing.”
She also welcomed further support from fans and potential sponsors.
