US lawmakers have voted against a war powers measure that would have limited Donald Trump's ability to order further military action in Iran. The measure would have required the withdrawal of US forces from the conflict unless Congress approved the operation.
It failed to pass the US Senate by 47-53 votes, almost entirely down party lines. The House is set to vote on the same question tomorrow.
