Hundreds of youth and residents have continued to throng Kitengela town ahead of the anticipated Linda Mwananchi rally.

Large numbers of supporters and the public have been gathering ahead of a political rally in Kitengela slated for Sunday afternoon, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

The event, part of Sifuna’s “Linda Mwananchi” tour, comes in the wake of his contested removal as Secretary-General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, a move he has vowed to challenge.

Some came carrying Kenyan flags and chanting pro-Sifuna slogans.

The rally is expected to draw several prominent opposition figures allied to Sifuna, including Siaya Governor James Orengo and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, as they mobilise supporters and articulate their political stance amid growing divisions within ODM.
