Popular TikToker Diana Skys, born Diana Namulinde, has died in circumstances that have shocked fans across East Africa and beyond.

The news of her death first emerged online after close friends and neighbours raised the alarm when they were unable to reach her for several hours.

Diana, who was also known online as Nyash Maama and Ka Richwife, had built a strong digital following, with more than 175,000 followers on TikTok and over 70,000 on Instagram.

She was widely recognised for showcasing a glamorous lifestyle on social media, often sharing images of luxury travel, designer fashion and first-class flights.

What Happened to Diana Skys?

According to accounts shared by people close to her, Diana was found dead inside her apartment in Kampala, Uganda.

A neighbour identified as Shan said concern grew after Diana went silent for hours — something that was considered unusual for her.

“She would never go more than 20 minutes offline,” the neighbour said, explaining that repeated calls went unanswered. Police were contacted and later entered the apartment, where Diana was found lifeless on her bed.

Videos shared by neighbours showed police officers at the scene shortly after the discovery.

The apartment complex, which reportedly has an electric perimeter fence and guarded access, raised further questions among residents about how the incident occurred without drawing attention.

Shan later posted an emotional message, wondering why no noise was heard that might have alerted neighbours in time. “This apartment won’t be the same again,” she wrote in another tribute post.

Police Investigation and Arrests

In the days following her death, Ugandan police confirmed that a criminal investigation was under way. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police, Diana is believed to have been strangled.

Police spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire stated that two suspects were arrested in connection with the killing.

Among those taken into custody was a security guard attached to the apartment complex, after some of Diana’s personal belongings were reportedly recovered in his possession.

Her body was transferred to Mulago City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination was scheduled to establish further details surrounding the cause of death.

As of the latest official update, investigations remain ongoing, and authorities have not released full findings.
