It has emerged that a former lawmaker, who recently returned to active politics, quietly sought forgiveness from a party leader he fell out with nearly a decade ago. Already, the politician has slipped seamlessly back into his old role, vigorously defending the party leader and issuing stern warnings to critics. Are two popular families fighting for the attention of a highly spotlighted figure? Well, while one has allegedly opened its arms to dealing with the deep-pocketed fellow, another seems not to want to associate with him, leaving observers confused about what exactly is going on. Is a lawmaker on the brink of ditching her political formation after feeling sidelined by her own coalition boss? Insiders whisper that the final straw was a hush-hush meeting between the coalition supremo and her main challenger, where money is allegedly said to have exchanged hands to bankroll coalition activities on the ground. The lawmaker now supposedly feels the writing is on the wall, reading the move as an endorsement of her rival even as sources say she is quietly weighing her exit options before the ground fully shifts beneath her feet.
