Kanyari or Tash? Sky Victor’s Mature Response Ends Debate Over Her Two Fathers

Pastor Victor Kanyari and the late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s daughter, Sky Victor, has candidly opened up about navigating life after the loss of her mother and maintaining a healthy relationship with both her biological father and stepfather.

Betty Bayo passed away on November 10, 2025, following a prolonged battle with blood cancer. She died while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. 

Since her passing, public attention has remained fixed on the future of her two children, Sky and her younger brother Danny.

Custody Rumours and Family Dynamics

In the weeks following Bayo’s death, speculation emerged online suggesting that Sky and Danny had chosen their stepfather, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, over their biological father, Pastor Kanyari. The claims quickly gained traction, fuelling debate around who had full custody of the children.

However, Sky has now firmly addressed the rumours, making it clear that there is no rivalry or rejection where her fathers are concerned.

“I’m Blessed With Two Fathers”

The teenage content creator recently invited her followers to send in questions, which she answered in a video shared on her YouTube channel. One of the most frequently asked — and emotionally charged — questions centred on which father she loved more.

Reading the question aloud, Sky responded with remarkable clarity and maturity.

“I don’t have a favourite dad,” she said. “I’m blessed with two awesome fathers, and I love them both equally.”

She went on to explain that while the two men are very different, each plays a vital role in her life. Sky openly acknowledged Pastor Kanyari’s efforts, particularly his financial support, noting that providing for a child should never be dismissed as insignificant.

She also praised Tash for his presence and emotional availability, describing their close bond and how she feels comfortable sharing everything with him.

Sky’s public support for her stepfather has also been evident in recent weeks. Last month, she shared a tender video showing Tash taking care of Danny, a post that surfaced amid mounting accusations and custody demands directed at him following Bayo’s death.

The clip captures a quiet, intimate moment as Tash prepares Danny for an outing — carefully dressing him, applying lotion, brushing his hair, and ensuring he looks neat before they leave.
