Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka has shared a strange and somewhat unsettling experience, revealing that a woman has been repeatedly contacting him on WhatsApp, insisting that he is her long-lost son.

The singer took to Snapchat on Friday to make the revelation, sharing screenshots of the messages that have left him both baffled and frustrated.

According to the messages, the unidentified woman claims she has been searching for Baraka for years. She urges him to find time to visit her, telling him that she has often watched him on television and believes he strongly resembles another one of her children.

Baraka expressed disbelief at the persistence of the messages, which continue despite his repeated attempts to clarify that she is mistaken. In the texts, the woman repeatedly addresses him as “my lovely son,” a claim the singer described as “insane” and absurd.

"There is a woman who has been harassing me saying I am her son. Some people are actually mad and exist through society," Baraka commented alongside the shared screenshots.

The bizarre situation has sparked reactions from fans online, many of whom found the story both humorous and bewildering. While Baraka seems intent on maintaining his distance, the ongoing messages continue to perplex the popular Ugandan musician.
