The body also had cuts on its head, police said adding assorted beers were stolen from the bar.

And in Karaini, Kirinyaga County, the body of one Denis Gitungi was found lying on a footpath after a suspected murder.
Police said blood was oozing from his eyes, ears and mouth with visible marks on both hands. The neck also had signs of strangulation then, police said.
The motive of the murder was not established. The body seemed to have been delivered to the scene after murder elsewhere.

Police discourage mob lynching and term it criminal. The police want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing and possible prosecution. Up to three cases of mob lynching are reported daily in the country in a worrying trend.
Police said they are investigating all reported incidents with an aim of taking action. This is after it emerged some suspects are framed up before being killed by mobs.
