The dispute later shifted to the couple’s children. In November 2025, Daniels claimed she was restricted from seeing her sons, a situation that culminated in a court ruling in December granting Nwoko full custody. The court also rejected a human rights petition filed by Daniels and mandated that she undergo supervised therapy, marking a notable legal setback for the actress.

By January 2026, the conflict had escalated further with criminal allegations and public scrutiny, involving the arrests of Daniels’ brother and a close friend. While the case continues to develop, Daniels maintains her innocence and has called for respect for her family amid the ongoing legal battles.
