Kenyan comedian and content creator Terence Creative has issued a strong appeal to his fellow digital influencers regarding the upcoming visit of global streaming sensation iShowSpeed.
As the American YouTuber prepares to touch down in Nairobi, Terence is urging local creators to think beyond simple selfies and viral clips.
The call for restraint comes as Kenya prepares to host one of the world's most influential streamers during his massive 20-country tour of the African continent.

Looking Beyond the Hype
Terence Creative used his platform to remind the industry that iShowSpeed's presence is more than just an entertainment moment. He suggested that local influencers should focus on long-term professional gains rather than one-time collaborations.
"Kenyan creators, let's control our excitement about iShowSpeed's visit and see beyond us collaborating with him for a one-time content,” Terence pleaded.
Terence highlighted that Speed possesses a vast network, including global icons like MrBeast and Cristiano Ronaldo. He encouraged the community to seek masterclasses or growth tricks that could help Kenyan brands reach a global stage.
“Let's see how he helps upcoming and existing creators reach some global levels, let him meet creators even for an afternoon for a masterclass, teach us a few tricks of growth, something that can help creators grow brand-wise.”

The ‘Speed Does Africa’ Tour
The 20-year-old streamer, born Darren Watkins Jr., officially launched his "Speed Does Africa" tour on 29 December 2025. The ambitious project aims to cover 20 countries in just 28 days, with daily live broadcasts starting as early as 7:00 a.m. ET.

- North Africa: Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria.
- West Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast.
- Southern Africa: South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
A Massive Opportunity for Kenya
Terence Creative believes that if local creators can "control our excitement," the visit could put Kenyan culture and events in front of an international audience that usually takes years to build.

iShowSpeed's influence is immense; he recently reached over 28 million subscribers on YouTube and holds a massive presence on Twitch.
By capturing local creators in his streams, Speed could provide a platform for Kenyan talent to reach his tens of millions of followers.
