The child has reportedly stopped eating and sleeping properly. Ruth K shared a video of the child, explaining that the clip was only a small representation of the sadness their family is currently enduring.
"My baby has been crying nonstop for almost 8 days. No eating, no sleeping. This has been the toughest season of my life. 2025 ended with sadness, and 2026 started with the same mood,” she said.

Fans Offer Spiritual and Cultural Advice
The post quickly gained traction, with thousands of followers offering support, prayers, and theories on the cause of the crying.
Some fans suggested spiritual intervention. For instance, @mia_bext, urged Ruth to "command that unsettled and crying spirit out of him."
However, a significant number of commenters pointed toward traditional and cultural explanations, specifically referencing the child’s Luhya heritage from his father’s side.
Many suggested that the child needed to be with his father, Mulamwah, or taken to his ancestral home to find peace.

Follower @cdaraja echoed this sentiment, receiving over 1,300 likes for suggesting that "watoto wa waluhya mambo yao huwa ngumu" (matters concerning Luhya children are often complex).
Another user, @lumumbaevelyn, suggested that if the child were taken to Kitale, he would quiet down immediately.

The Role of Heritage
Other followers discussed the possibility of naming traditions affecting the child’s well-being. @carolyne_amenya advised Ruth to consider if the issue was related to the child’s name, suggesting he might need to "go back."
Meanwhile, @barberry587 noted that according to Luhya customs, the boy might simply want to see his father.
Support also came from fellow public figures. Socialite Amber Ray expressed her sympathy, commenting, "I can imagine what you are going through... may he get well soon.”
Mylee Staicey also shared her support, noting she could "only imagine the stress."
As of the latest updates, Ruth K continues to seek a solution for her son's condition while the online community remains divided between seeking further medical opinions and following traditional advice.
