Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed deep sorrow following the death of John Muhia Njoroge, the father of Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia, describing him as a resilient family man whose life left a lasting impact on the community.
In a condolence message, Gachagua said he was saddened by the passing of Njoroge, noting that the late patriarch had endured a long and difficult 12-year battle with kidney failure, a journey he faced with remarkable courage and strength.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing on of John Muhia Njoroge, a loving dad to the Kipipiri Member of Parliament Hon. Wanjiku Muhia,” Gachagua said.
“The late Njoroge Muhia demonstrated courage and great resilience in life, having had a twelve-year battle with kidney failure.”
The DCP leader noted that beyond being a devoted father, Njoroge was a respected member of the Kipipiri community, whose values and guidance helped shape leaders of integrity and service.
“The people of Kipipiri have lost a champion and a family man who brought forth a great leader in Hon. Wanjiku Muhia,” he said, adding that the MP and her siblings had clearly reflected their father’s upbringing through their conduct and commitment to public service.
Gachagua extended his condolences to the bereaved family and residents of Kipipiri, acknowledging the pain of losing a loved one and community pillar.
“My family and I send our deepest sympathies to the family of Njoroge Muhia and the people of Kipipiri on this painful loss,” he said.
He also offered words of comfort grounded in faith, praying that God would grant the family strength and peace during the period of mourning.
“I pray for peace and strength during this difficult moment. May you find comfort and courage in the Lord God to bear this grief,” Gachagua stated.
The former DP prayed for eternal rest for the departed, asking God to grant him everlasting peace.
“May the Almighty God rest the soul of Njoroge Muhia in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever,” he said.
