Two-year-old boy killed, body dumped in estate in Njiru, Nairobi

Detectives are investigating the murder of a two-year-old boy whose body was found dumped in an estate in Njiru, Nairobi.

The body was found abandoned at a building in the area long after the incident.

Police said the victim was killed elsewhere and the body was later transported and abandoned at the scene. The motive of the December 26, 2025 incident is yet to be known.

The body was picked up to the mortuary pending postmortem and identification.

In Kogonyi, Kisumu County, a 15-year-old boy was found dead after a party in the Kombedu area.

Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the murder of the boy. He had stabs in back of the body, which was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

Police later arrested a suspect over the murder.

In Igoji, Meru County, a lifeless body of a juvenile was found lying in a thicket and naked.

The victim was a 14-year-old girl and pupil at St Jude Primary School and was in grade eight.

The body didn’t have visible injuries at the time it was found and moved to the mortuary pending postmortem.

In Kiritiri, Embu County, the body of a four-year-old girl was found in a thicket after murder.

Police are investigating murder in the case. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

And in Matungulu, Machakos County, a body was found stuffed in a sack and floating on River Athi.

The body seemed to have been dumped elsewhere before it was swept downstream to the area in Ndivo village.

Police said the body had visible head injuries and the man was identified as Michael Wahinya, 68.

He had sometimes back been involved in wrangles with his family who chased him out of their compound, locals said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Police said they are investigating the killing.

Elsewhere in Mbakalo, Bungoma County, one Amis Shikuku, 61 was killed by his son in a domestic fight.

The man was hacked and killed in his house on Christmas Day. The body was found lying with multiple head injuries inflicted by a sharp object in the Nzoia village.

The two had quarreled before the 29-year-old man pounced on him with a machete fatally injuring him in his house.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy even as police hunted for the assailant.
