A Kenyan man has reported a disturbing incident involving two of his relatives who he claims were caught attempting to poison his household water supply. The man linked the alleged attack to ongoing disputes over family land.
Discovery by Brother
The man said his brother discovered the relatives outside their home. He described the individuals as wearing bright white clothing, which he considered unusual.
“Imagine my brother anakuja anapata two of family member wamevaa nguo nyeupe nyeupe nguo za wachawi ati wananyunyizia madawa kwa hii mlango yangu,” he said.
He added that the relatives were moving around the area in a circular manner while pouring unknown substances.
Targeting the Water Supply
The household water tank appeared to be the main focus of the alleged poisoning attempt. According to the man, the relatives were trying to gain access to pour chemicals into the water.
“Walikuwa wanatafuta access ya kumwaga madawa ndani ya ile maji,” he said. When confronted, they reportedly called on his brother to drink the substances.
Following the encounter, the family decided to lock the water tank to prevent any further access.
Connection to Land Disputes
The man linked the alleged poisoning attempt to long-standing family conflicts over property. He claimed the relatives were motivated by financial gain and had previously committed violence to secure land. “Hawa hawa ni familia waliwaua ati ndio wauze hii shamba,” he alleged.

Faith and Precaution
The man expressed relief that no harm occurred during the incident and credited divine protection for keeping his family safe.
He described the ongoing challenges he faces at home, acknowledging that he has few resources. Despite this, he said he remains cautious following the encounter.
The incident has highlighted concerns over family disputes in the area and the measures some individuals are allegedly willing to take in pursuit of property.
