The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a fresh recruitment drive to fill 41 vacancies across multiple departments, offering opportunities on permanent and pensionable terms.
In a notice, the agency said it is seeking qualified candidates to take up positions that include 27 roads engineers, two ICT Officers II, one Human Resource Management Officer II, 11 Drivers III and 10 Office Assistants I.
The vacancies form part of KeNHA’s efforts to strengthen its technical and administrative capacity as it continues to manage and expand the country’s national trunk road network.
According to the announcement, interested applicants are required to download and complete the official KeNHA job application form available on the authority’s website.
Candidates must attach copies of their National Identity Card, Curriculum Vitae, academic and professional certificates, as well as relevant testimonials.
Detailed job descriptions and qualification requirements for each position have also been provided on the website to guide prospective applicants.
KeNHA emphasised that all applications must reach the Authority by 5:00 pm on December 29, 2025, noting that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
The authority further warned that canvassing in any form would lead to automatic disqualification.
KeNHA reaffirmed its commitment to fair hiring practices, stating, “KeNHA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and gender equality.”
In line with this policy, the authority encouraged women, persons with disabilities and individuals from marginalized regions to apply.
Applicants with disabilities have been advised to clearly indicate their status on the application form. The Authority added that shortlisted candidates will be required to meet the integrity and leadership standards set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution and must present several compliance documents during the interview process.
These include clearance certificates from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Revenue Authority, the Higher Education Loans Board, the National Police Service and the Credit Reference Bureau.
The job advertisement also outlines key responsibilities for specific roles.
Drivers III will be expected to provide reliable and safe transport services, ensure the secure movement of staff and authorized goods, and maintain assigned vehicles in accordance with the Traffic Act. Office Assistants will be responsible for general support duties, including maintaining office cleanliness, handling mail delivery and serving refreshments.
Each application must clearly indicate the reference number of the advertised position.
Completed applications are to be addressed to the Director General, Kenya National Highways Authority, and hand-delivered to the recruitment box located on the second floor outside the Human Resource Management Department at Barabara Plaza, near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
KeNHA reiterated that late submissions would not be accepted.
KeNHA, a state corporation under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, was established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007.
The Authority is mandated to manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain the national trunk roads network, a critical component of Kenya’s transport infrastructure.
The recruitment comes as the authority continues to expand its operations across the country, with a focus on enhancing service delivery and ensuring the safety and efficiency of Kenya’s road system.
