KCB Bank Kenya has entered into a new partnership with Sauti Sol Group Limited to deliver what both sides describe as an enhanced and more immersive experience at SolFest 2025.
The bank announced the collaboration in a statement dated November 25, noting that the deal reinforces its growing investment in Kenya’s creative economy.
SolFest, now in its fifth edition, has grown into one of Africa’s top music and cultural festivals. It has become a major platform for showcasing African music, art and youth expression.
Under the new partnership, KCB will serve as the official payments partner, enabling fans to buy tickets using KCB Cards and make payments for goods and services at the festival through KCB Tills and POS terminals.
KCB Bank Director of Digital Financial Services Angela Mwirigi said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to nurturing Kenya’s creative sector.
She described the industry as “a powerful engine for innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment.”
“Our partnership with Sauti Sol reflects our commitment to investing in homegrown talent and creating opportunities for creatives to thrive,” she said.
“SolFest 2025 will not only be a celebration of music and culture but also a platform for economic participation and community impact.”
Beyond payments, festival-goers will access new experiences including exclusive platinum activation during the VIP show.
KCB will also showcase its new Mobile App and card proposition to the youthful audience traditionally drawn to SolFest.
The two partners intend to deepen digital engagement by embedding a SolFest Mini App within the KCB App.
The feature is expected to provide festival information and enhance interaction during the 2025 edition.
Sauti Sol Group Limited welcomed the partnership, saying it aligns with its mission of elevating African creatives and offering emerging talent opportunities to grow.
“SolFest has always been about giving Kenyan and African talent a world-class stage,” the group said.
“Partnering with KCB allows us to scale that vision even further by creating opportunities, elevating creatives, and building a festival experience that celebrates who we are as a people. This collaboration is a powerful affirmation of the creative economy and its role in shaping the future of our country.”
The collaboration adds to KCB’s recent efforts to engage creatives. The bank recently launched its new Mobile App through a campaign that featured a music collaboration with artists Sean MMG, Ssaru and Breeder LW on the track Nitakupanga.
The bank said the project demonstrated how technology and music can boost visibility, strengthen brand relevance and support creatives in reaching wider audiences.
KCB maintains the largest branch network in Kenya and continues to expand its digital footprint across East Africa.
