AN OPPOSITION MP has reportedly gone down on his knees to beg his parliamentary leader to spare him disciplinary action. Corridors of Power understands the lawmaker is in trouble after his leader learnt of his latest misstep. The MP is said to be purportedly among a group of legislators who have been frequenting the office of an influential leader in search of handouts. This is despite a clear warning from the opposition leadership against such visits. Supposedly known for his perennial financial troubles, the legislator allegedly defied the directive and is now pleading to avoid punishment, including possible removal from key House committees.

MEMBERS OF A county assembly are up in arms against their speaker, whom they accuse of denying them the chance to globetrot. The speaker has reportedly rejected several requests by the MCAs to travel abroad for benchmarking, infuriating the ward reps. They are now said to be possibly plotting his impeachment.
