Social media influencer Sheryl Gabriella has addressed the backlash she received after sharing her 2026 birthday wishlist online.

Her birthday which is on 7th January 2026 includes several luxury items, sparked mixed reactions from followers, with some questioning the motive behind her post.

In a video shared on her Instagram stories, Gabriella clarified that her intention was not to solicit gifts from fans but to outline personal goals she hopes to achieve before her next birthday.

Clarification On Her Viral 2026 Birthday Wishlist Post

The influencer stated that she plans to buy everything on the list herself and that it serves as a form of motivation. “I am not asking anyone to buy me anything that is for me to buy for myself. It’s just a list of what I want to work towards before my birthday,” she said.

Gabriella further emphasized that the wishlist was part of her personal vision board and not a public appeal for financial support or presents.

Gabriella’s 2026 wishlist featured items such as trip to Maldives, a new Iphone 17, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7/ (latest by then), new gas cooker, washing machine, apple airpods pro, vaacum cleaner, new home theater system, new curtains and a 100K money bouquet.

According to Gabriella, the wish list was not intended to create controversy but to inspire her audience to plan for their aspirations early.

She noted that sharing personal goals on social media is a form of accountability that helps her stay focused and disciplined.

Following the clarification, Gabriella said that she has already ticked one item hence nine more to go and is going for the second thing.
