
Several government institutions and state agencies have announced new job openings across various departments, offering opportunities for qualified Kenyans to serve in legal, engineering, academic, and management roles.
The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), also known as the Office of the Ombudsman, has invited applications for the position of Senior Legal Officer, with two posts available at its headquarters in Nairobi and the Kisumu regional office.
The Commission, established under Article 59(4) of the Constitution and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011, is mandated to address maladministration in the public sector and enforce the Access to Information Act, 2016.
Interested candidates must submit their applications through the CAJ e-recruitment portal on www.ombudsman.go.ke by November 25, 2025, at 5pm.
The commission stated that hard copy applications will not be accepted, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Previous applicants are encouraged to reapply.
Meanwhile, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is recruiting for two senior positions: Director, Engineering (Roads) and Director, Legal and Board Services.
The Authority has invited applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions on a contract of up to five years (subject to legal review) or as otherwise provided under any written law, renewable subject to performance and mandatory retirement age.
KeNHA urged interested candidates to download and complete the job application form, which is obtained from the website www.kenha.co.ke and attach copies of National Identity Card (ID), Curriculum Vitae (CV), Academic/Professional Certificates and Testimonials.
It encouraged persons with disabilities, women, and those from marginalised areas to apply, adding that those with disabilities should indicate their status on the application form.
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to satisfy the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter six of the Constitution and shall be required to present the following documents during the interview.

In Kisumu County, Agro-Chemical and Food Company Limited (ACFC), a leading manufacturer of spirits, baker’s yeast, and carbon dioxide, is seeking to recruit a Manager, Planning and Projects Management.

The application deadline is December 5, 2025, at 5pm.

The core functions of the CLE are to regulate Legal Education and training, license and supervise Legal Education providers, conduct the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) Examination, recognise and approve qualifications in Law obtained outside Kenya and advise the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.
