Socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika has spoken out to defend her co-parenting relationship with her ex-partner, Brown Mauzo.
She faced criticism for allowing Mauzo to visit their children at her home, but she insists their arrangement is not based on finances.
On social media, Vera made it clear that a father's presence is more important to her than financial support.
"I've never needed anything from him financially," she wrote. "He's a great dad."

A Father's Presence
Vera explained that her own upbringing influenced her decision. "I grew up with both parents and always wanted the same for my kids," she said.
She added that she would never use money as a reason to deny her children time with their father. She believes that would be "selfish" and would hurt the children, not the father.
"Lack of financial support won't ever make me deny their dad the right to see them."
The Past Shapes the Present
Vera also mentioned Mauzo's history as a father. She recalled a time when he was blocked from seeing one of his children for two years.
