Kenyan singer Arrow Bwoy has stirred up a frenzy, publicly challenging Ugandan businessman Shakib Cham to a boxing match.
The bold move follows Shakib's recent and very public knockout defeat at the hands of fellow Ugandan artist Rickman.
The challenge has set the stage for a potential East African celebrity showdown.
Arrow Bwoy is Ready for a "Free Meal"
In a video circulating online, Arrow Bwoy, known for his hit song "Digi Digi", didn’t hold back. He said he's been waiting for a chance like this, cheekily calling it a "free meal."
"Let me tell you, I’ve been yearning for this; mboga imejileta," he stated, which roughly translates from Swahili as "the meal has brought itself."
He added, "The meal is ready, and yes, I’m up for the challenge."
A Warning to Zari Hassan
Arrow Bwoy also had some strong words for Shakib's wife, the well-known socialite Zari Hassan. He warned her to stay away from the boxing venue, claiming it's for her own safety.
“A message to Shakib: please don’t tag along with your woman because she might faint and we might have a double tragedy,” he said.

He then addressed Zari directly, telling her, “Zari, if you’re hearing this, just send your boy to come and collect the beatings — international beatings.”
Mixed Reactions and Past Footage
The challenge has quickly sparked a social media debate. Many Kenyans are hyping up the potential cross-border fight, cheering Arrow Bwoy on.
evara_peach3939 wrote, “Na vile uko na misuli. You will do it very well ??,” backing the singer’s confidence.
ni_denimo added, “We are out for the challenge,” rallying support for the match.

However, some critics brought up old discussion of Arrow Bwoy himself being beaten during the recent anti-finance bill protests. Which led some to question whether he truly has the grit to take on Shakib in the ring.
Will the Fight Happen?
With Zari’s name now thrown into the mix, anticipation for this potential boxing match is at an all-time high.
Fans across East Africa are now waiting to see if Shakib will accept the duel. If he does, it will surely become an East African entertainment event to remember.
