A FEMALE PARASTATAL boss is staring at trouble. A detailed dossier has been sent by insiders to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission on her alleged abuse of office. To begin with is the alleged inclusion of ghost workers in the provision of staff medical cover. What does it mean? Ghost workers are allegedly getting private insurance paid for by the state corporation. Then there is the complaint of nepotism, with only relatives reportedly securing employment. To make matters worse, a section of the staff is ready to be witnesses. They say there is also alleged suspicious siphoning of taxpayers’ money through double payment to law firms.

A MEMBER OF a county assembly from Western is now the subject of a curious police complaint. The representative, a staunch ally of the county boss, is accused of owing a local undertaker for services rendered to him moons ago and which has remained unsettled despite several reminders. Worse still, the vocal politician is said to be on the radar of local bar owners who claim he has left a trail of unpaid debts and empty promises. Despite his troubles, the people's representative is often spotted seated next to the county chief grinning like all is well.
