The Kenyan entertainment scene is buzzing with drama in 2025. Several well-known names are involved in ongoing online feuds that have captured public attention. Here's a breakdown of who’s clashing and why.
Otile Brown vs Bien-Aimé Baraza
This is one of the biggest celebrity feuds in Kenya right now. It started with a disagreement about the state of Kenya’s music industry.
What sparked it?
Bien criticised Otile Brown’s earlier comments, where Otile said Kenya lacks international artists. Bien took offence, calling the statement unfair and damaging.
Otile hit back, saying Bien was using “social media theatrics” to promote himself, and added:
“Stop acting woke for clicks. Your buzz doesn't match the charts.”
A brief apology — then a diss track
On 1 August 2024, Bien offered a public apology on Instagram:
“I’ve come to my senses. I have no business beefing with a hard-working brother. Sorry Otile.”
But just a day later, on 2 August, Bien withdrew his apology — and dropped a diss track instead.
Otile responded by mocking Bien’s YouTube rankings, questioning how he could be trending online but still sitting at #7 in Kenya:
“All that hype and still number 7? Make it make sense.”

Vera Sidika vs Anerlisa Muigai
Another heated feud involves socialites Vera Sidika and Anerlisa Muigai. Their back-and-forth has played out mostly on Instagram.

How it started
Vera accused Anerlisa of following her briefly — then quickly unfollowing her. She posted screenshots and questioned who was really obsessed.
“I don’t even follow her. But she’s out here following and unfollowing. Make it make sense.”
Anerlisa responded, saying it was a mistake caused by her nephew, who had been using her phone:
“My nephew followed several celebs across Kenya and Tanzania. I noticed and reversed it.”
But Vera didn’t buy it. She accused Anerlisa of lying, and claimed the timing didn’t add up. Things escalated when Anerlisa blocked Vera completely.
Vera later responded:
“I must be important if someone goes on video about me, then blocks me. I have Hollywood celebs following me!”
Toxic Lyricali vs Other Rappers in His DMs
Upcoming rapper Toxic Lyricali is tired of fellow artists reaching out for collabs now that he’s gaining fame.
In a blunt Instagram post, he called out unnamed rappers:
“Stop begging for collabs. Where were you when I was struggling?”
He made it clear he has nothing against fans:
He promised to stay humble with his supporters.
His frustration is with artists who ignored him before but now want to "ride his wave".
