The County Government of Turkana has announced 53 job opportunities, with 51 being re-advertisements.

In notices published on Tuesday, the County called for qualified individuals to apply for the positions of County Chief Officer and Director of Preventive and Promotive Services.

It re-advertised for the positions of a medical specialist – radiologist, medical specialist –orthopaedic, general physician, medical specialist – oncology, assistant public health officer III (15), youth polytechnic instructor III (carpentry and joinery) (2), youth polytechnic instructor III (plumbing and pipe fitting).

Candidates are urged to submit written applications, CVs, copies of certificates, testimonials, and Identity Cards in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the left side with the position being applied for.

Applications should then be addressed to The Secretary, Tukana County Public Service Board, PO BOX O5, Lodwar -30500.

They can also be hand-delivered to the reception desk at the Turkana County Public Service Board offices, located along Nawoitorong Road, opposite Lodwar Club, off the Kitale-Lodwar highway.

All applications must be submitted on or before Tuesday, August 5, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.

The County Public Service Board urged the candidates with foreign qualifications to attach relevant authority documents from the immigration department.

The County has also shortlisted candidates for various positions, following the advertisement and re-advertisement of vacancies that appeared in the Standard Newspaper on April 9, 2025, and April 17, 2025.

The shortlisted candidates will sit for interviews between August 18 and September 1, 2025.

The shortlisted positions include those of Director of Administration, Director of Social Protection, Assistant Director of Administration (2), Public Health Officer (10), Medical Specialist – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Environment and Energy Officer, Entrepreneurship and Economic Inclusion Officer, and Education, Sports, and Social Protection Officer.

The candidates for the positions are available at www.turkana.go.ke, or www.nea.go.ke.

All interviews will be held at Lodwar Vocational Training Centre.

The shortlisted candidates are required to bring their original academic and professional certificates, ID or passport, and any other relevant supporting documents.

All interviews will begin at 8:00 a.m., and candidates are advised to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
