Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), through its subsidiary JKUAT Enterprises Limited (JKUATES), has announced a large-scale recruitment drive aimed at filling 216 job vacancies across various technical and professional fields.

JKUATES, which the university wholly owns, is undertaking the hiring as part of its broader mandate to support service delivery and innovation across public and private sectors in Kenya.

According to a job notice dated June 2025, the openings span 14 job categories in areas such as engineering, construction, surveying, planning, renewable energy, and law.

Some roles have numerous openings, with technician and engineering positions accounting for the majority.

Among the key roles advertised are 34 positions for Design Technicians, 33 for Construction Technicians, 33 for Operation and Maintenance Technicians, 16 for Engineers in Operation and Maintenance, and 11 for Design Engineers.

There is also one opening for a Legal Assistant.

Other available positions include Engineer Construction (13), Principal Engineer Construction (7), Planning Officer (1), Renewable Energy Assistant (5), Cartographer (17), Wayleaves Officer (15), Renewable Energy Officer (15), and Surveyor (15).

The advertised roles fall under job grades 4 to 8, with seniority and requirements varying by role.

Applicants must submit a signed application letter, detailed curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, and a copy of their national ID.

JKUATES has made it clear that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
