
The County Government of Kakamega has advertised 138 job vacancies in various departments.
Under the Department of Public Service and County Administration, the county is looking to employ 17 persons to the office of the Administration Officer II, and 17 more to the office of the Community Administrator III.
Under the Department of Education, Science, and Technology, the vacancies are for Assistant ECDE Teacher III (58) and Assistant Polytechnic Instructor III (10).
The county is seeking three managers for Butere, Malava, and Matunda Municipalities. This falls under the Department of Lands, Housing, Urban Areas, and Physical Planning.
There is also a need for economists II/statisticians II (9) under the Department of Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning.
Under the department of social services, youth, sports, gender and culture, the county is looking to employ a social development officer II (4), sports officer (5), sports assistant III (5), sports technician II (5), youth development officer II (5) and cultural officer II (5).
Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives is seeking a Deputy Director of Livestock Production.
The office of the governor is hiring two Legal Officers II, and the Department of Trade, Industrialisation and Tourism is looking to employ two Industrial Development Officers.
The county stated that all the details requested in the advertisement should be filled out on the Application for Employment Form KAKCPSB2A, which can be downloaded from its website at www.kakamega.go.ke.
Interested persons were urged to submit their applications, with the position applied for clearly indicated on top of the envelope, and should be hand-delivered or sent through a courier.

Meanwhile, Nakuru County is seeking to hire a Managing Director for the Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company Limited (NARUWASCO).
The county is seeking a managing director who is a customer service-oriented, qualified, and experienced individual looking to be part of a results-oriented team.
It added that the position requires a result-oriented and self-driven professional who will provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the company delivers on its mandate to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Murang’a County is advertising the position of the chairperson of the county public service board.
Interested candidates must be Kenyan citizens and hold a bachelor's degree from a university recognised in Kenya. (A Master's Degree will be an added advantage) and have a minimum of 10 years of working experience in top-level management, with at least five yearsin Human Resource Management.
One should be a licensed member of IHRM in good standing.
Pursuant to Section 58(7) of the County Government Act of 2012, the candidate must be a woman because the current vice-chairperson is a man.
She should satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity, be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct and not be a public or state officer.
She should have an understanding of the diversity within the county, be visionary and a strategic thinker and have the capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
The appointment is for a single term of six years and can be served on a part-time basis.
