Meru University announces 36 job vacancies

Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced the opening of 36 job vacancies, inviting applications for a wide array of academic and administrative positions.

The recruitment drive is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation, supporting Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda.

Academic positions

The university is seeking to fill 18 academic roles across several disciplines.

For Senior Lecturer positions, there are six openings, each with one slot:

Civil Engineering (Ref: MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25); Mechatronics Engineering (MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25); Mechanical Engineering (MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25); Hospitality and Tourism Management (MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25); Health Systems Management (MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25), and Entrepreneurship (MUST/ACA/EXT/01/7/25).

There are four lecturer positions, two slots being available in Medical Laboratory Science (Ref: MUST/ACA/EXT/02/7/2025).

Hospitality and Tourism Management (MUST/ACA/EXT/02/7/2025) and Electrical and Electronics (MUST/ACA/EXT/02/7/2025) each have one lecturer slot.

There are six Tutorial Fellow slots, two being for Health Records and Information Management (Ref: MUST/ACA/EXT/03/7/2025),

There is one slot each for Health Systems Management (MUST/ACA/EXT/03/7/2025); Medical Surgical (MUST/ACA/EXT/03/7/2025), Midwifery (MUST/ACA/EXT/03/7/2025), and Public Health (MUST/ACA/EXT/03/7/2025).

For Clinical Instructor positions, there is one slot each in Nursing (MUST/ACA/EXT/04/7/2025) and Midwifery (MUST/ACA/EXT/04/7/2025).

There are 18 administrative positions up for grabs

These include one slot each for Deputy Finance Officer (MUST/ADM/EXT/01/7/2025); Deputy Registrar, Examinations (MUST/ADM/EXT/02/7/2025); Deputy Registrar, Admissions (MUST/ADM/EXT/03/7/2025); Senior Librarian (MUST/ADM/EXT/04/7/2025); Chief Communications Officer (MUST/ADM/EXT/05/7/2025) and Software Developer (ICT Officer I - MUST/ADM/EXT/06/7/2025).

Others are IT Security Officer (ICT Officer I - MUST/ADM/EXT/07/7/2025); Database Administrator (MUST/ADM/EXT/08/7/2025); Webmaster (ICT Officer II - MUST/ADM/EXT/09/7/2025); Content Developer/Instructional Designer (MUST/ADM/EXT/10/7/2025), and Clinical Officer I (MUST/ADM/EXT/12/7/2025).

ICT Officers (ICT Technician - MUST/ADM/EXT/11/7/2025) and Administrative Assistant I (MUST/ADM/EXT/14/7/2025) both have three slots each, while Farm Manager (MUST/ADM/EXT/13/7/2025) has one slot.
