The housing units are expected to address Kenya’s housing challenge, which has persisted for over 50 years.
Waweru said the program will bring dignity to every Kenyan who deserves decent shelter.
How to buy
Members of the public interested in buying the houses have been asked to register on www.bomayangu.go.ke or dial *832# and provide primary information.
The applicants will be required to self-declare their income information, which shall be verified.
The next step is to select a preferred unit which will be within one's income range.
Upon selection of the housing unit, applicants will have to complete the allocation application form, indicating payment options for the 90% (cash or home loan or TPS)
Persons who are in the social category can opt for deposit assistance, during which they will receive offers from participating financial institutions for home financing and choose their preference.
Upon the allocation decision, applicants will be notified, and an offer letter will be issued to the successful applicant.
Once the steps are taken, the sale process will be completed and the unit handed over to the qualifying bidder.
