Political outfit sends confusing, mixed signals about support of its mother ship

Just who is the real boss of a political outfit that has been sending mixed signals about its support to a major political formation in the country? This is the question on the lips of some keen observers who have taken note of the contradictory statements by the outfit’s leadership. Whereas one of the leaders allegedly indicated a change of heart and plan as the country hurtles to the 2027 elections, one of the top guns quietly whispered to Corridors of Power that those giving directions are mere busybodies.  The contrasting positions have reportedly bewildered leaders of the formation the party belongs to. They say it is time the party’s chiefs got serious about their future.

But keen observers now say the man was allegedly scrambling for the attention of the boss, just like other ordinary mortals. The team that is said to be enjoying all the trappings of power and privilege is reportedly growing weary of the new additions, some of whom, they say, don’t measure up to the level of the club of think tanks, researchers and dons. One of the key advisers has allegedly expressed concerns over the difficulties in managing a team, which has kept ballooning to include politicians and relatives of top political figures.

The man is also purportedly hosting high-profile officials from the Executive in an attempt to push back against a politico who reportedly fell out of favour recently with the powers that be. A little bird whispers to Corridors that the man is supposedly being bankrolled by an aide of a top politician, who is also allegedly facilitating his TV appearances. But will it bear fruit?
