It is alleged the big boss never takes advice, including on matters that are squarely within the ambit of the professionals he is working with. Sharp divisions played out in a recent saga and over multimillion-shilling deals. The professionals are reportedly grumbling and want the top gun apprised on why he should listen to them.

A FORMER BUSINESSMAN, who was reportedly implicated in a massive graft scandal, is said to be expanding his interests to West Africa. The man, who was recently allegedly involved in yet another gold scandal in a Southern Africa country, is said to have entered into a controversial deal to establish a gold refinery and gemstone processing hub in the country’s capital. The businessman is allegedly running the deal through one of his companies based in a Middle Eastern country.

A FORMER PARLIAMENTARY aspirant in the last elections in one of the constituencies in Nairobi is accused of running a visa application consultancy scam, where he is charging Sh2,000 for coaching. The man, whose office is based in one of the upmarket suburbs, reportedly targets individuals seeking employment abroad, especially in the US and Europe and allegedly coaches them on how to respond to questions asked at consular offices. However, some of those who have fallen for the purported trap say the success rate is almost nil and the Sh2,000 is non-refundable.
