A LAWMAKER AND employees of the NG-CDF from a constituency in Nyanza are allegedly in panic mode after they learnt that anti-graft detectives have launched investigations into alleged massive loss of funds from the local bursary kitty. The detectives swung into action following complaints from members of the bursary committee, who said the kitty had become the nerve centre of corruption where ghost names and fake documents are reportedly used to steal public funds. The members allege that beneficiaries of the allocations are never in the approved list of applicants.

A SENIOR DETECTIVE heading one of the controversy-ridden units allegedly accused of being behind the recent abductions is said to be desperately knocking on the doors of all high-profile offices seeking to be retained in office on contract. The man, said to run the office like personal property and claiming to receive instructions from a top address, was supposed to have proceeded on leave in March pending his retirement in June. But he has reportedly declined to leave office. The officer has now supposedly sent emissaries to a senior officer with fat cash offers should he be retained in service.
