JUST HOW MUCH pressure are politicians from a region facing to impress a top state officer during an anticipated tour? Well, it seems extreme. A legislator from the region, in drumming up support for the official, allegedly claimed residents of a certain ward would receive title deeds. Interestingly, residents say they received titles back in 2017. With egg on his face, the MP will now have to come up with another project to convince his constituents.

A LAWMAKER WHO previously led an executive entity has supposedly clashed with his colleagues. Reason? ­e legislator is reportedly unhappy with a recent parliamentary committee report that exposed the institution he headed before being elected. Insiders report that he had previously allegedly tried to persuade committee members to go easy on the entity, fearing he could be implicated in any damaging findings. However, his colleagues ignored him and went ahead to table the damning report. ­e committee members claim they did their job and feel no remorse.

Well, the lawmaker’s colleagues are allegedly worried that the firms have found a lucrative customer in him, as he spares no expense to boost his public perception. Questionable firms consistently purportedly depict the lawmaker as one of the best performers, even though the Hansard suggests otherwise. Equally disturbed, constituents are now saying their MP can bask in the glory, but the truth will come out one day.

A TOP COUNTY official, who previously served as a leader in Parliament before taking up his new role, was recently seemingly shocked when he appeared before a House team. ­e man expected the MPs to supposedly handle him with kid gloves for the simple reason that he had been in Parliament before. ­e MPs scrutinised the man regarding financial management in his new role, falling short of allegedly declaring him a conduit for theft of public money. After the meeting, the official was reportedly heard telling the lawmakers that he did not expect them to handle him the way they did.
