A SENATOR IS said to be considering withdrawing a bill he has sponsored after it supposedly emerged that the proposed law may ruin his governor bid in 2027.
The bill has reportedly sparked uproar among the youth in the senator’s home area and many believe the damage is already done, whether he withdraws the proposed law or not.
The county boss, who will be seeking a second term, has capitalised on the matter.
He has been campaigning, calling the senator a selfish leader and a non-performer with no track record.

An enterprising woman from one of the counties is reportedly among aspiring candidates for one of the most difficult jobs in the country.
The woman has already been shortlisted for the job.
However, she is likely to face difficult questions as she is allegedly on the EACC radar over a suspected tender irregularity in one of the counties.
She will be hard-pressed to respond to conflict of interest accusations before the panel.

A STATE OFFICIAL who was removed from his position and reassigned to a less prestigious one abroad has reportedly been the talk of town.
The man, whose aloofness does not surprise many, is accused of not using his position to endear himself to the people, unlike his political mentor who was a former popular politician.
Those who have interacted with him say the official is overly formal and does not entertain political small talk that would result in tokens of appreciation, unlike his counterparts.
A journalist who allegedly interacted with him said it is indeed difficult to pick him out from a crowd of five people as he rarely speaks in public, even in his own mother tongue.

A FORMER TOP official of a big party recently decamped to a little-known outfit following his party’s pact with an opposition formation.
The politician now moves from one media outlet to the next castigating the very government he supported before the broad-based arrangement.
He is allegedly said to have fallen out with a powerful PS whom he accuses of sidelining him.
Afraid that he would lose perks he was reportedly receiving from the generous state official, the politician bolted and opted to attack anyone supporting the government.
Observers are however not surprised by his move because, they argue, what motivates him is having his pockets loaded and not political ideology.
