A SENIOR LAWMAKER from a popular party has reportedly gone into hiding after his promise for a top government job to one of his constituents failed to materialise.
The lawmaker had made the promise in one of the WhatsApp groups, which includes professionals from his constituency. Despite reportedly saying the appointing authority had confirmed the appointment a few weeks ago, nothing came forth.
The snub forced the professionals from his constituency to protest on social media, claiming the move was a vote of no confidence on the MP.
The lawmaker switched off his mobile phones and remains unreachable since the announcement was made on Thursday.
