Kampuni ya Kusambaza Umeme Nchini (KPLC) imetangaza kuwa bado inakumbwa na ucheleweshaji wa usambazaji wa tokeni kwa wateja wanaozinunua kupitia Mpesa Paybill 888880.
Wakenya wanaojaribu kununua tokeni za umeme kupitia Mpesa ya Safaricom kwa sasa hawawezi kufanikisha mchakato huo.
Ili kukabiliana na changamoto hii, Kenya Power imewashauri wateja wake kununua tokeni kupitia njia mbadala.
Aidha, wateja wa Equity Bank wanaweza kutumia USSD *247#, Equitel, Equity Mobile App/Online, Eva Chatbot au EazzyBiz.
Kwa wateja wa Family Bank, ununuzi wa tokeni unaweza kufanywa kupitia PesaPap Mobile App, USSD *325# au tovuti rasmi ya Family Bank, huku wateja wa KCB wakihimizwa kutumia KCB Mobile Banking App, KCB iBank App, Vooma Mobile App, USSD *522# au *844#.
Pia, Kenya Power imeeleza kuwa wateja wa National Bank of Kenya wanaweza kununua tokeni kupitia NBK Mobile App, USSD *625# au NBK Epay Internet Banking, huku wateja wa NCBA wakihimizwa kutumia NCBA NOW App, USSD *488# au NCBA Connect Online Banking.
“Timu yetu inafanya kazi kurekebisha hitilafu inayohusiana na Mpesa Paybill 888880. Tutatoa taarifa rasmi mara tu tatizo hili litakaposhughulikiwa,” Kenya Power ilisema kwenye taarifa yake.
Kampuni hiyo iliwaomba radhi wateja wake kwa usumbufu wowote uliosababishwa na kuwashukuru kwa uvumilivu wao.
Kenya Power imekumbusha kuwa inatoa njia mbadala za malipo ya kidijitali, ikiwemo Equitel, Airtel Money na benki za kibiashara.
Baadhi ya wateja wamekuwa wakicheleweshewa tokeni walizonunua, huku wengine wakipokea jumbe za makosa.
