Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru with Kiandai residents
during the launch of the local dispensary"We will not bring down our house because its roof is leaking. We are wise and will stay and repair it. Mt Kenya voted for this government to be the last man and we must support it to benefit from development projects,” the governor said.
She also urged Mt. Kenya leaders to stop politicking and instead focus on fulfilling their development promises to the people.
Waiguru said Kirinyaga is reaping big from projects initiated in collaboration with the national government and abandoning the government at this particular moment would put them in jeopardy.
Citing the ongoing construction of the Sagana Industrial Park, markets and roads among others, Waiguru said the Kenya Kwanza government had pumped in millions to develop the county.
She also called for a stop to ongoing abductions and forced disappearances of Kenyans saying it has no place in modern Kenya and should not be happening.
"I do not support abductions. They must be stopped," said the governor.
