President William Ruto on Friday praised the police for their swift action in apprehending perpetrators of femicide.

He urged the public and religious leaders to step up efforts to end the vice, terming it a moral obligation that should not solely be left to law enforcement.

The funds, he said, will reflect in counties' accounts on or by Thursday, December 19.
