ORDINARILY, FRIENDSHIPS ARE said to be tested best when one is going through their lowest or requiring support to achieve a cause. The friendship between two public figures was subjected to this age-old belief recently. This was after one allegedly abandoned the other at an hour of need, in what our fly on the wall attributed to a clash of interests. One of them was allegedly overheard saying how they expected the friend to join the fray in a recent historic political exercise in vain. The fellow regretted the losses the friendship has caused to other equally important ones.

A SENIOR GOVERNMENT official is under scrutiny. Why? The man is allegedly said to have brokered a recent deal that put Kenya on the global spotlight, all for the wrong reasons. The man, who holds a powerful role but is still rumored to be interested in an even bigger assignment, is allegedly said to be the one who negotiated the deal with a foreign country. His interest in the matter remains unclear because it is outside his docket. Some activists are making many plans, including court action.

A FORMER MP allegedly allied to a troubled politician appears to have allegedly abandoned his fallen master in his hour of need. The former legislator was supposedly recently seen with his master’s nemesis in a high-end hotel, where it is believed a deal to have him abandon the man was hatched. Tellingly, the ex-MP has allegedly never answered the man’s call nor visited his home. The former MP is believed to be among lieutenants of the fallen politician on their way out of his camp.

AN AIDE OF a first-term governor from Western has reportedly become the talk of the town. Reason? The woman, supposedly known for her corrupt deals, recently allegedly demanded a kickback from some investors who were seeking to see her boss for an investment deal. Corridors understands that the investors have sought to meet the county chief in the last two months but the woman wouldn’t let them. It is said she allegedly wanted more than Sh5 billion to secure them an appointment. The county chief has since heard of the development and the woman’s alleged conduct that appears to have cost the county millions worth of investments. It’s unclear the governor’s next action.
