Two people were attacked and lynched by mobs in the latest such incidents to be reported in the country.
Police discourage mob lynching and term it criminal.
They want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing and possible prosecution. This is because some of the victims are innocent, police said.
The first incident happened within Lower Rabango, Siaya County, where an unidentified man aged about 40 years was found lying on the ground with deep cuts on his body.
Police say he was rushed to Siaya referral hospital and died while being treated.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased entered the compound of Joseph Otieno uprooted the fence angle lines and was sighted by the caretaker who raised an alarm.
According to Police, Villagers cornered the suspect and later subjected him to mob injustice.
Siaya police station officers processed the scene, and the body was moved to the Siaya County referral hospital morgue for preservation pending identification.
Meanwhile on Tuesday at 8:00 am, a man was subjected to mob injustice on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle at Maili Saba stage, TransNzoia County.
Police officers who rushed to the scene found the body of an unknown 30-year-old man lying in the middle of the road with a tire on him.
According to police, he had visible injuries on both legs, partially burnt lower right arm and deep cuts on the head.
Police officers from Kipsania Police Station processed the scene and the body was escorted to Kitale County referral hospital pending autopsy.
Elsewhere along Narok-Mau Road a lorry driver killed an 80-year-old pedestrian as he was crossing the road.
According to police, the accident occurred along Narok-Mau Road involving a lorry heading towards Narok general direction from Mau and upon reaching the location of the accident, he knocked down a man identified as Simon Wajona, aged 80 years.
Police say he was trying to cross the road from the left side of the road and as a result, the pedestrian died on the spot.
His body was moved to Narok County Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police officers from Narok Police Station processed the scene and necessary action was taken.
The vehicle was escorted to the Narok police station yard, pending inspection.
The case is pending investigation.
